About Jamie

I’m a lifelong storyteller and champion of bold ideas

I help authors turn book concepts into compelling manuscripts — and proposals into book deals. As Editorial Director at RISE Literary and a ghostwriter, book coach, and developmental editor, I’ve supported 100+ authors in bringing their stories to life and into the hands of top publishers like Simon & Schuster, Penguin Random House, Wiley, and more.

I’ve ghostwritten, coached and edited published works across many genres, coached dozens of authors on story structure, concept, and pitching. I’ve taken books through the entire production process, from pitch to publication. With a background in filmmaking and screenwriting — including top honors from the Academy Nicholl Fellowship and the Austin Film Festival — I bring a narrative-driven approach to every project I touch.
